We’ve Changed (for the better!) – Meet our New Website and Explore our App!

Media Release

Maryville, Tennessee – Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong is excited to announce that after months of development and weeks of testing, the Sheriff’s Office recently launched a redesigned website and Inmate Lookup System with a clean new look and easier navigation tools.

Our new website, which can be located at www.bcso.com, was designed in-house by our talented I.T. professionals. Key features of the website include:

  • A streamlined and user-friendly navigation menu featuring comprehensive details on all Sheriff’s Office functions, alongside our Public Information section. Explore our Newsroom, latest media releases, and other valuable links.
  • Conveniently placed quick links in the center of the homepage provide quick access to information on Employment, Inmate Lookup, Tip Submission, and Report Requests.
  • Users can access up-to-date information on inmates booked into the Correctional Facility using the new Inmate Lookup System, along with detailed instructions on how to deposit funds into an inmate’s commissary account.
  • Easy to access annual report in PDF format

Last but not least, at the bottom of the home page, users will find information about our free Sheriff’s App which also includes a link to download the app for users of iOS and Android. A new feature of our website is that it is interactive with our Sheriff’s App – when we post a new media release or other urgent and/or critical messaging on our website (weather-related information, road conditions, road closures, or breaking news events), users will receive a notification on your BCSO app that will keep you informed.

“We are excited about the new clean and colorful design of our website, and we hope our users find it easy to navigate,” Sheriff Berrong said. “Our purpose for the new design is to allow our citizens to locate information about the many functions of the Sheriff’s Office easily and efficiently,” Sheriff Berrong said. “We will continue to improve the site with photos and new features. We want users to enjoy a pleasant experience.”
