Maryville, Tennessee – Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong is asking the public’s help in locating a man who went missing from his home on Blockhouse Road earlier this evening. 

Please keep your eyes out for Jerry Austin, age 77. Mr. Austin left his home on foot at around 4 pm today. Please study the attached photo. Mr. Austin was last seen wearing a red and black jacket and blue jeans. Mr. Austin has a medical condition that may impair his ability to return home safely without assistance. 

Multiple Sheriff’s deputies and a K-9 team are currently searching for Mr. Austin in the area of Blockhouse Road. 

If you have seen or spoken to Mr. Austin since 4 pm today, or if you encounter him, please call 911 immediately so he can return to his family.
