Maryville, Tennessee – Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong announced that investigators with the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force arrested a Maryville man today following an early morning search warrant at the man’s residence on Doris Lane.
Randall L. Leinwar, 30, of Doris Lane, Maryville, is charged with possession of a Schedule II substance (methamphetamine) over 300 grams with intent to resell, maintaining a dwelling where drugs are used and/or sold, and introduction of contraband into a penal facility. The court date and bond amount has not yet been set. In addition, investigators arrested Taylor Attkinsson, on an outstanding warrant out of Morgan County.
During the early morning hours today, the Sheriff’s Office SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) team executed a state search warrant for the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force at Leinwar’s residence on Doris Lane. The search of the residence revealed approximately 12 ounces of methamphetamine, digital scales, and more than $1,000 in U.S. currency. Once processed at the Blount County Justice Center, corrections deputies located additional drugs including marijuana and various pills on Leinwar’s person. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending upon the identification of the pills found on Leinwar after entering the correctional facility.
The Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force is comprised of deputies and officers with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, Maryville Police Department, Alcoa Police Department, and the Office of the Blount County District Attorney General.
