Maryville, Tennessee – Our patrol supervisors are reporting that conditions on Blount County’s secondary roadways are much improved since Saturday morning, however, slick spots remain on some shaded areas, bridges, and overpasses. Use caution and watch for slick spots. The Blount County Highway Department has been busy scraping and treating our roadways and deputies continue to monitor road conditions.
Sheriff James Lee Berrong thanks our citizens for staying off the roadways during and after the storm which accounted for fewer crashes and weather-related incidents. The forecast is calling for well above freezing temperatures and sunshine today, so conditions should continue to improve!
