Telephone Calls

For inmate telephone issues or to add money to an account go to: https://www.citytelecoin.com/

Inmates may use the telephones, KIOSK and Tablets provided in each dayroom area. Inmates will not be allowed to receive any incoming personal calls. In the event of a personal or family emergency, a message will be taken by staff and given to the inmate after the emergency has been confirmed. In the event the party you are calling will not accept the calls, the only recourse you have is to write the party explaining telephone procedures.

Cost

If a family member(s) or a person(s) wishes to speak to an inmate they may purchase a prepaid phone card for the inmate or set up a prepaid account for that   inmate. This can be done by contacting  https://www.citytelecoin.com/ or calling 318-756-1114. This can also be done by utilizing the kiosk in the 24-hour lobby of   the Justice Center.

Monitoring

All communications are subject to monitoring, and recording. Video Visitation and Instant message made from any device located in the ADC is also subject to monitoring and recording. Any material that is deemed inappropriate will be blocked and could subject the inmate to disciplinary action. This could also result in suspension of visitors’ accounts. The use of any device constitutes the inmates/publics consent that contact information and/or conversations may be provided to, used, and retained by the Sheriff’s Office, and constitutes a waiver and release of any cause of action against the communication service provider or employees of the Sheriff’s Office resulting from the recording, provision, or retention of the contact information or the conversations conducted.

Attorney Calls

If an inmate calls his or her attorney and the attorney does not accept the call, an inmate’s only alternative is to write a letter. Corrections Officers will not call attorneys for inmates, and inmates will not normally be allowed to use any official Sheriff’s Office telephone in the facility except under certain circumstances, such as a family emergency, and then only under the direct supervision of a Corrections Officer.
